Welcome back to the 2014 Clash for a Cure website! We're back for our fourth year, bigger and better, raising funds for the American Cancer Society. This year due to some scheduling conflicts, we have had to move the event to Killeen Texas. Both the Quadfather and I hated to change it, but we were left with some bitter choices. Unfortunately, due to our change of location and date, we are no longer teamed up with WaCon. I want to make sure that is clear because it seems to pop up every so often. We teamed up last year, but like all journeys, there comes a fork in the road and we have both gone different ways. We will still have three days of gaming September 12-14th, 2014.
Another little change comes in the form of being a Warmachine Weekend 2014 Qualifier! Not an alternate like last year, but a full fledged qualifier! That means that Texas has made it's mark in Warmachine as we have three events in Texas that have the mark of being a Warmachine Weekend Qualifier. With the changeup Warmachine Weekend has had to their Invitational, even those qualified at other events are still in the hunt for their placement in the brackets.
Just like last year, the two gaming systems will be Warmachine/Hordes and Malifaux. We have several tournaments throughout the weekend. See our schedule page for details. This will be the third year for our painting competition, the Cog, as well.
Of course, the charity raffle will be back. This year, we have some old favorites and new painters contributing their talents to the event.
